- 1) This is the “heart” of your memorandum of law because it is where all of your legal analysis will take place. In other words, you will be applying the fats of your case to the law in the jurisdiction in which you are working. It needs to be thorough and complete. It must be objective.
There are two important aspects of this section. First, there is a thesis paragraph. Next, there is a five-paragraph analysis for every issue or sub-issue you are analyzing. We will begin with the five-paragraph analysis first, and then we will move on to the thesis paragraph.
